First, news about the MPs’ domestic peace.

The police are investigating whether the MPs’ domestic peace has been violated.

This week, there were reports of suspicions that someone had visited the homes of MPs without permission.

Yle’s information is that there are several of these suspicions, but fewer than 20.

There are no signs of a break-in in the apartments and nothing has been stolen or broken.

However, there are small signs left in the apartments that someone has been there.

There has been a lot of talk about fuel prices for many weeks now.

Fuels are now unusually expensive. The price of crude oil has risen, for example, due to the ongoing war with Iran.

This week it was reported that the Finnish government is considering ways to lower the price of gasoline and diesel.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said yesterday that the government is about to reach an agreement on the matter, perhaps in the coming days.

At the beginning of October, two legal changes came into effect that will affect many people.

The Driving Licence Act now requires that a 17-year-old driver must mark the car they are driving. A green-yellow sign must be attached to the back of the car.

The Rental Act was also revised. The law now prohibits tenants from smoking in rented apartments and their own yards or balconies.

Smoking is only permitted if permission has been obtained from the landlord.

Ski season begins

There have been fewer thunderstorms this year than usual, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

A little over 30,000 ground flashes were observed during the summer. Usually, an average of over 80,000 flashes are observed during the summer.

The most lightning occurs on the west coast in the provinces of Ostrobothnia and the Turku region in Southwest Finland.
