Drone Agreement

First, news about defense cooperation between Finland and Ukraine.

Finland and Ukraine have signed a drone agreement. The presidents of Finland and Ukraine signed the agreement yesterday in New York.

The agreement means that drones or other weapons can be manufactured in Finland for the Ukrainian army.

President Alexander Stubb said that the drone agreement benefits both countries. Ukraine will receive weapons and Finland will gain knowledge and experience with drones for its own defense.

- We are now gaining a lot of expertise in production from drones in general and hopefully we can get started here quickly.

Salt usage

Finns eat too much salty food.

Research shows that working-age men consume an average of just over 10 grams of salt per day and women consume around 7.5 grams per day.

The recommendation is to consume no more than 5 grams of salt per day.

A play about Josif Stalin premiered yesterday at the Q Theatre in Helsinki.

The play is called Suliko. It is based on the award-winning novel by author Pirkko Saisio.

Stalin was the dictator of the Soviet Union. During his time, millions of people were killed or sent to prison camps.

The play reflects on how a young person can grow into a tyrant.

Director Juho Mantere says that in today’s world, anti-democracy and the longing for a strong leader have intensified.

Therefore, it is necessary to show what a strong leader can mean.

Old Stalin is played by Elina Knihtilä. Young Stalin is played by Miro Lopper.
