Proposal for Finland’s budget for next year

The Ministry of Finance will make a proposal to the government on how the Finnish state will spend money next year.

Finance Minister Riikka Purra says that Finland will have to take on 13 billion euros in debt.

Finland is forced to take on a lot of debt because the state does not have money for all important expenses.

Negotiations on next year’s Finnish state budget began today.

Purra says that the government will not propose new savings for next year. The government announced the savings already in the spring.

Helka Kivelä, 93, is a caregiver. She takes care of her husband Jussi at home.

Livestock farms are popular travel destinations

Many Finns want to spend their summer vacation on a farm with domestic animals.

There are already 200 farmyards in Finland, where you can get to know farm animals such as goats, chickens and sheep.

There is a farm in Pieksämäki where you can visit and see some very rare farm animals.

In the water buffalo park, water buffalo eat and trample the shoreline reeds, which improves the water in the lake.
