French and Spanish wildfires

French President Emmanuel Macron held an emergency meeting yesterday and visited the disaster area.

The Minister of the Interior said that the fire created a special thunderstorm over the weekend. It caused strong winds, and burning material flew all over the terrain.

In addition to France, wildfires are wreaking havoc in Spain, where the heat is getting worse again. 100,000 people have fled their homes. 77,000 hectares have burned across 3 provinces.
