Orphan and the Garden project. Speeding. World Cup. Friday’s weather.

Orphan and Garden project

Initially, the topic is a hall dispute.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo defends the government’s actions in the Helsinki Garden project.

Orpo was a guest at Yle’s A-studio last night.

Orpo says that the government will review the Garden project’s funding in September.

The government allocated 35 million euros in funding for the hall project. The decision has drawn much criticism, as the Ministry of Finance did not support the funding. The project also includes supporters from the National Coalition Party, or Orpo party.

Orpo assures that it is not about corruption:

– I understand that this certainly doesn’t look good and many people are wondering if there’s something shady about this. But I can assure you that it isn’t.

Prime Minister Orpo defends the government’s actions in the Helsinki Garden project.

Opposition parties want Parliament to interrupt its summer recess and convene to discuss the issue.

Speeding

Then there is the issue of speeding.

The police have tightened speeding enforcement. Now even minor speeding fines can be issued.

Fines for minor speeding have increased by over 80 percent in a year. In total, over 140,000 fines were issued.

Slight speeding means that the speed is less than 10 kilometers per hour.

The police have tightened speeding enforcement. The goal is to reduce traffic accidents.

World Cup

Finally, football.

Argentina and Spain will play in the final of the World Cup.

Argentina defeated England in the semi-final last night. The final score was 2-1.

Spain, on the other hand, defeated France on Tuesday.

The World Cup final will be played in the United States on Sunday evening. Argentina and Spain are vying for the title.

Friday weather

Still a weather forecast.

The weather is dry in almost the entire country, meaning it is not raining.

In the south it is warm, around 25 degrees.

It’s a little cooler in the north.
