Prime Minister Petteri Orpo says that municipalities and employers are receiving instructions regarding drone threats and other threats.

The drone threat is also on the agenda in the Navy’s main war exercise this spring. It is underway in the eastern Gulf of Finland. However, the main focus is on coastal defense and archipelago battles.

The exercise involves approximately 3,000 soldiers from Finland, the USA, Germany and Estonia.

The Air Force has begun anti-drone training in southeastern Finland today.

Deaths of the elderly

In Finland, several elderly people have died under unclear circumstances. There has been some neglect or carelessness before the death.

Yle found 8 deaths in documentary sources, not all of which have been publicly disclosed before.

For example, 3 years ago, an elderly man died in Attendo’s Kuparikaari nursing home in Harjavalta. He received a 20-fold dose of morphine.

In Central Uusimaa, an elderly man was found dead at home only 4 months after his death. The child had filed a report of concern about his father a month before his death.

Supervision of elderly care is the responsibility of the welfare regions and the Licensing and Supervision Agency.

Electrification of heavy transport

Here is an electric truck leaving the Posti terminal in Vantaa. The number of electric vehicles is growing steadily.

Posti says it has 1,400 electric scooters and 800 electric vans. It already has about 40 electric trucks.
