Last Sunday, two drones crashed in southeastern Finland. One crashed into a house in Kouvola, the other into a forest in Luumäki. The third was found in Parikkala on Tuesday.
The drones caused no damage.
The drones were Ukrainian. This is the first time that Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine is also visible in Finland.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo held a press conference on Tuesday. Orpo said that Finland’s drone defense is being continuously improved.
The Prime Minister admitted that there was not enough communication to citizens or between authorities.
Finland is now planning an app for mobile phones that will alert you to aerial hazards. For example, in Ukraine, there is an app on mobile phones that warns about drones.
The Finnish Defence Forces say that Finnish airspace is being monitored more intensively.
