The presidential candidates are divided on whether it is too easy to live on social benefits in Finland.

Three candidates say that in Finland it is too easy to live on social benefits. This is what Jussi Halla-Aho, Sari Essayah and Harry Harkimo say.

The remaining six candidates say that living on social assistance is not too easy in Finland. This is what the most popular candidates say, for example, Alexander Stubb and Pekka Haavisto.

About 7 percent of Finns receive income support, for example

All the presidential candidates say that there are too many arguments in Finland and that the president must unite the people.

War in Ukraine

Ukraine has probably destroyed a large Russian warship in the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian military fired a missile at the ship. In the video footage, the ship is on fire and almost sunk.

Russia admits that the ship was damaged by the Ukrainian attack.

According to the Russians, one person was killed and several people were injured in the attack.

Russia started the war in Ukraine in February 2020.

There has been a lot of traffic on motorways in different parts of Finland.

Many traveled to relatives to celebrate Christmas, and today, Tuesday, they will return home.

The most traffic has been in the afternoon. Traffic on the biggest roads continues until the evening.

Finns’ legs have grown. Men and women buy bigger shoes than before

Shoe retailers say that 41 is a very common shoe size for women these days. Many women have a shoe size of up to 43.

The most common shoe size for men is 43, but much larger sizes are also being sold more and more.

According to researchers, Finns’ feet have grown because the standard of living has risen. People get taller and legs grow when they have a good standard of living and plenty of food.

Weather

It may snow a little on Wednesday. The temperature is between -3 and -10 degrees.
