Customs suspects two (2) Finnish companies of violating Russian sanctions. The companies may have exported or helped to export to Russia products that are not allowed to be exported to Russia because of the war in Ukraine.

Customs says that the value of the products is more than 3 million euros. For example, almost 3,500 drones have been exported to Russia. The companies have announced that the drones will go elsewhere, but the drones may still have been exported to Russia. Both companies may have been managed by the same person.

Customs suspects 6 people of the crime. One (1) person has been arrested.

Price of electricity

The price of electricity remains high. This is how the price forecast of the electricity exchange evaluates. The electricity exchange predicts that the average price of electricity will remain at 10 cents per kilowatt hour until the end of February.

The price of electricity remains high because the weather has been cold for a long time, there has been little wind and there has been little rain. That is why the production of wind turbines and hydroelectric plants has decreased.

The association of energy companies Energiateollisuus says that the situation of electricity production in Finland this winter is nevertheless good.
