Many large international companies still operate in Russia. The same companies also own companies that make ice cream in other countries. For example, the large international companies Nestle and Unilever own many ice cream brands in Finland.

Many companies have left Russia because Russia is at war in Ukraine. EU countries do not like the fact that companies operate in Russia. The EU has imposed sanctions on Russia because of the war.

Russia has conducted a launch test with a long-range missile. Russia says the missile launch test was successful.

The Bulava missile is 12 meters long. The missile can fly about 8,000 kilometers and it can carry 6 nuclear warheads.

Russia launched a submarine missile from the Viennese Sea.

Hostage situation in Germany

There has been a long hostage situation at Hamburg airport in Germany.

The situation started on Saturday evening, when a man drove into the airport area and shot into the air. He also threw 2 petrol bottles from the car. In the car was the man’s 4-year-old daughter, who was the man’s hostage. The reason for the man’s actions was perhaps a dispute over the custody of the child.

Hamburg airport was closed and all flights were cancelled. The situation ended on Sunday afternoon when the police arrested the man. Hamburg airport was opened to traffic again in the evening.

Western Finland Flood Warning

The Finnish Meteorological Institute has issued a flood warning for Western Finland. The reason is the heavy rains. It has been snowing in the area, which is melting. In addition, there will be new water showers.

A lot of water comes from snow and rain. Therefore, water levels may rise in the west.

For example, rivers can flood fields and roads in Northern Finland, Pirkanmaa, Satakunta, Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia.
